Assessment timeline planner

Plan working dates, including England and Wales bank holidays.

See the possible dates.

This is an illustration of our proposed 2/10/5-day service design. It is not a booking or a compliant assessment schedule.

Counts from the next working day. Skips weekends and published England & Wales bank holidays for 2026–27. Add organisation closures yourself. Longer plan-specific periods take priority. Check GOV.UK dates before relying on a schedule.

Assessment slot4 November 2026
Result target11 November 2026

Result timing includes the additional assessment duration you entered, then 5 working days for results and quality checks.

Private by design: entries are processed in this browser and are not sent to Avenor. Exports may contain what you type; use learner reference codes rather than personal or sensitive data.

How to use it

Start with a real planning task.

Use this when a provider has a complete-submission date and needs a first planning view of review, assessment-slot and result-target dates before a delivery conversation.

  1. Enter the date on which the submission is expected to be complete.
  2. Add any assessment or project duration and known closure dates.
  3. Export the milestones, then reconcile them with the applicable assessment plan and confirmed capacity.

Worked example

Reproduce the result.

Input
Complete submission: 19 October 2026; additional assessment duration: 0 working days; no closure dates.
Output
Gateway review: 21 October 2026; illustrative assessment slot: 4 November 2026; result target: 11 November 2026.

Interpretation and limits

Know what the output can support.

Treat the dates as a conversation starter. Plan-specific notice windows, project periods, adjustments, capacity and agreed closures can move the real schedule.

Does this reserve an assessment date?

No. It creates a local planning illustration only. A booking needs confirmed scope, capacity and an agreed assessment plan.

Why are only 2026 and 2027 available?

The calculator is deliberately bounded to the bank-holiday calendar verified for those years. It refuses to guess beyond that evidence.

Should provider closure days be entered?

Yes. Add known closure dates, then confirm how the assessment organisation treats them before relying on the exported plan.
